Given the social distancing restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional Bike to Work Day has been re-branded into one-week long virtual event with activities that celebrates bicycling for transportation and recreation. Whether you are riding to work, around your neighborhood, or along a new trail, pledge to ride your bike during ¡Bike Thru Burque! Week.
Bike to Work Day is an annual event organized by the City of Albuquerque that encourages commuters to ride their bike to work to save money and improve their quality of life while reducing traffic congestion.
Thank you to the more than 1,800 people who participated in some way during Bike Thru Burque Week, including the more than 100 entries in the both the scavenger hunt and the photo contest! You can check out the winners of the photo contest winner and runners-up below.
If you have any feedback for the City of Albuquerque on how this event could be improved for future years, please send us a note via the Contact Us tab.
This site will remain live as a resource hub, though most of the activities have been removed. If you would like to “propose a ride,” please do so here.
