Transportation from the west side doesn’t have to be car-dependent! Learn about the extensive off-street paved bike trails throughout the west side and connections across the river! We will travel from Mariposa Basin Park to Bike-In Coffee, renowned for catering to bicyclists and asking patrons to avoid parking that disrupts the neighborhood. This 16 mile round trip route will go through 300 ft elevation change, most of it from the riverbed up to the west mesa via a bike and pedestrian bridge adjacent to the interstate.Level: Moderate
Cost: There is no cost for this outing but participants will need to bring cash, credit or debit card to pay for food, drink and incidentals at Bike In Coffee.

Bring: Multi-speed road, mountain or gravel bike, helmet, gloves, patch kit, pump, water, tools, snacks, money, sunscreen and wear appropriate attire. High visibility clothing or vest is strongly recommended. Thorn-resistant tires and sealant are recommended. E-bikes are welcome. Single speed or cruiser-type bikes are not appropriate for this ride.
Signup Restrictions: Participants must be able to keep up with group at a 12-15 mph pace. This ride is appropriate for children over the age of 16 when accompanied by parent or legal guardian. No dogs are allowed.
Carpool: Carpooling is at participants’ own risk. | Bus service via route 157 to Taylor Ranch/Kachina stop.
